Taking Care of Our Community

With everything going on in the world, there are many members of our society and community who need a helping hand. While HSSCU is continuously taking care of our members by enabling all members to do their business from home, we also want to take care of our community.

With the above in mind, we recently sourced 2 local charities that we sponsored and look forward to helping others also.

Recent Charitable Donations

Over the past 2 weeks, HSSCU provided food to hundreds by sponsoring Little Flower Penny Dinners and Doyles Corner. Both charities are doing their utmost to help various members of our community and we were thrilled to be able to help.

Little Flower Penny Dinners

Located in The Liberties in Dubin 8, Little Flower Penny Dinners provides meals to the homeless and elderly including a year round ‘Meals on Wheels Service’ to the housebound of the area. This charity helps the most vulnerable in our community who do not have the facilities to feed themselves. Equally, with current cocooning measures, the Meals on Wheels service is paramount for many locals.

Doyles Corner

A fabulous restaurant and events space in Phibsborough, Doyles Corner closed its doors due to the COVID-19 crisis. Instead of idle however, the amazing staff are providing hundreds of sandwiches daily to employees of the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. This outstanding initiative is one we had to be a part of. We approached Doyles Corner and were honoured to be the sponsor for their donated sandwiches last week. As we know, healthcare staff are the heroes keeping hope in Ireland. With that in mind, we were privileged to help.
