Fitbit Pay is moving to Google Wallet

Fitbit Pay is moving to Google Wallet and this change comes into effect from the 29th of July 2024. 

Fitbit pay transition contactless payments to Google Wallet. Fitbit is updating the contactless payments feature from Fitbit Pay to Google Wallet. This update will enable your member to pay quickly everywhere Google Wallet is accepted.

 

What does this mean for your Members?

Google Wallet is now available on Fitbit devices that support contactless payments. Fitbit Pay will no longer be available starting July 29, 2024. Your member must Set up Google Wallet in their Fitbit app (version 4.14.1 or higher) to continue making contactless payments using their Fitbit device.

 

To switch to Google Wallet:

 

 

After setting up Google Wallet, the Wallet tile in the Fitbit app will change to the Google Wallet tile.
